Most recent camp....

We have been out at Youlbury Scout Acitvity centre taking part in a fun packed weekend of adventure and mayhem.   Lighting fires, learning how to use a saw and axe, and how to use knives as tools.   Archery, High ropes adventure, wide game, camp fire, cooking on the fires...   The adventure just never ended.

Temp Image. Change Me!

The adventure never ends

Where, when and who?

Those are good questions, we meet at Dinton Pastures. We have recently moved to a new location north of our previous hut but still in Dinton Pastures. You will now find us off Stanford Lane in the building which was previously the sailing club but is now the new Multi-activity Centre. Our contacts page has a nice map which will show you where.

We normally meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 in the evening. We currently have a troop of 23 Boys and Girls. We are accepting new young scouts of both sexes with no queue currently in existence.

Our Scout masters are Phil and Sue, or Big and Little Ted as the scouts know them, they are assisted by Doc the old man of the group and Dave.

Why?

Working, playing, learning! Playing, working, learning!

To meet & make new friends...

Learn new skills...

Have loads of fun...

Assist in the community...

Find Adventure

We have a varied and full program of events all aimed at getting "Kids outdoors" and making adventures come to life ("Adventure" is the theme of scouting UK for 2009).

During the winter we will get out and about on occasions however a a lot more of our time is spent indoors playing games that help us learn the skills we will need when we get out in the summer.

This year our adventures will include the winter camp, Climbing, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Summer Camp and much much more

Our summer program is full of out door activities including:

  • Raft building and bell boating on the Thames.
  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • Orienteering
  • Sports for all
  • Bridge Building
  • Camping
  • Out door survival skills

And many more....

If your interested in joining us then do feel free to come down and meet us on a troop night, just remeber its 7.30pm on thursdays during school term time. (closed half terms)
